Vicky Hyde - breaking the mould in the construction industry.

Vicky was the first female craft apprentice (bricklayer) to be appointed by The Community Housing Group’s. Very early on, Vicky showed signs of being a high achiever and was determined to do well in her chosen field.  In April 2003, she was offered a student exchange place with the Leonardo Mobility Project and was sent to undertake work experience in Denmark!

In 2006, Vicky took part in the first ‘Partner Placement’ with Thomas Vale Construction - one of The Community Housing Group’s key partners in delivering their home modernisation programme. This experience helped Vicky to gain the level required to achieve her full qualification in July 2006.
