One thing about the housing sector is that you never know what’s around the corner. Jackie was well-known at Whitefriars for going that extra mile for people. And one memorable Coventry afternoon cemented her reputation forever.

It was just after lunch and a very distressed elderly lady walked through the doors of her office. She’d left her husband in one of the car parks in the Riley Square district of the city. Unfortunately, she couldn’t remember which one! To make matters worse he suffered from Alzheimer’s. So time was of the essence.

Jackie sprang into action and ran out of the office with the elderly lady in tow. 15 minutes later, she returned, out of breath and with a broad smile on her face. She found the lady’s husband sitting on a wall. As she went to help him, he stood up and down came his trousers. Employing the housing sector’s unswerving professionalism, Jackie averted her eyes, fastened his trousers and sat him back on the wall.

By this time his wife arrived, and Jackie helped them get to their destination; his sister’s birthday party. One nobody would forget in a hurry!

The very next day a huge bouquet of flowers arrived from the couple's family to say thank you to Jackie.
