Terms and Conditions for Job Seekers
1. General
1.1 The 1001careers.com website is the property of Work Communications (company number 4348483).
1.2 All Copyright, trademarks or any other intellectual property on this site belongs to Work Communications. All users agree not to copy, modify, reproduce, distribute any part of 1001careers.com.
1.3 These Terms and Conditions supersede all other contracts or agreements. There can be no alteration or variation to these Terms and Conditions unless expressed in writing by a director of Work Communications.
2. Acceptance
2.1 By using this website, you agree to adhere to these Terms and Conditions. Do not use this website if you do not accept these Terms and Conditions. Work Communications reserves the right to revise these Terms and Conditions at any time.
3. Termination
3.1 Work Communications reserves the right to edit or delete information input on this website and terminate Job Seekers registrations with immediate effect at its sole discretion, upon any breach of these Terms and Conditions.
4. Responsibilities
4.1 It is the Job Seekers responsibility to ensure all information provided in search criteria and registration information is: True and accurate; not abusive, offensive, disruptive, defamatory, obscene, or in any other way illegal; and does not breach the rights of any third party.
4.2 When using the registration procedure, the Job Seeker shall be responsible for updating the information when it becomes out of date or incorrect.
4.3 You shall indemnify Work Communications in respect of any losses or liabilities which may be incurred by the Company due to the content of any information or material provided by you.
4.4 You are responsible for your own dealings and correspondence with recruiters, employers and agencies, and are responsible for the consequences.
5. Liabilities
5.1 Work Communications and 1001careers.com are not, and must not be considered to be, an employer. Any employment decisions made through communication via the website shall not be the responsibility of the Work Communications or 1001careers.com.
5.2 Work Communications and 1001careers.com accepts no liability for:- Any damage to your software or hardware incurred as a result of using the website, including but not limited to any viruses or cookies.
- Any death or personal injury caused by negligence.
- The availability or inaccuracy of any job posting on the website, or the conduct of any party who places a job posting on the website.
- Any failures in you accessing the 1001careers.com website or any loss or damage which may result from the errors in the operating condition of the 1001careers.com website.
5.3 The content of the Work Communications and 1001careers.com website may contain inaccuracies. Work Communications makes no representations about the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness of the website or the content. 5.6 Information on this website is supplied in good faith. The content for the job listings are supplied to us by our clients. We directly input the information posted on the website by use on behalf of our clients and if any changes are made we seek approval before going live on the website. Work Communications therefore take no responsibility for the accuracy or nature of the job advert content posted on the website.
5.7 Work Communications and 1001careers.com accepts no responsibility for the quality, safety or legality of the jobs posted, the truth or accuracy of the listings, the ability of Recruiters to offer job opportunities to Job Seekers or the ability of Job Seekers to fill the jobs advertised.
5.8 The Job Seeker agrees to indemnify Work Communications from and against claims, actions or demands resulting from use of the 1001careers.com website or it’s contents, or your breach of the terms of these Terms and Conditions.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 The Job Seeker hereby undertake to indemnify Work Communications against any and all liability for any and all copyright infringement or any breach of any other intellectual property right caused by you or your failure to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
7. Data Protection
7.1 Work Communications and 1001careers.com are registered under the UK Data Protection Act 1998 and shall endeavour to ensure that they operate within the terms of the Act at all times.
8. Representation
8.1 Work Communications and 1001careers.com makes no representation to be and should not be considered to be a collaborator with the Job Seeker or Recruiter. No element of these terms should be deemed to be evidence of a partnership between said parties or to constitute either of us the agent of the other.
8.2 Failure to adhere or comply with any single element of these Terms and Conditions or of any rights hereunder by either party shall not release the other from the requirement to fully perform the remaining terms.
9. Governance
9.1 These Terms and Conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with English law and the English courts shall decide all disputes.

3.1 In accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 1998 you hereby undertake to comply with and ensure that your actions are not, and do not put Work Communications in breach of these terms. In accordance with these terms Work Communications require that you keep any Job Seeker information received by you confidential and only use such information in good faith and for the sole purpose of recruitment or in relation to the appropriate context in which that information was provided. You undertake hereby to not pass such information to any third parties without the prior written consent of the Job Seeker.
3.2 You are responsible for your own interaction with Job Seekers, for the content of job adverts you post and for the consequences of their posting.
3.3 Work Communications is not responsible for the suitability, availability or actions of any Job Seeker whose career information and/or CV is provided to you as a result of using the 1001careers.com website.
3.4 Work Communications takes no responsibility for the accuracy and content of the information provided by the Job Seeker.
3.5 You are responsible for ensuring that the content of your advertisements is:- Both accurate and true
- In compliance with all relevant legislation and codes of practice
- Not a contravention of the rights of any third party, including not without limitation, the intellectual property rights of any third party
- Not in any way illegal, including but without limitation to, discriminatory, obscene or offensive content
4. Intellectual Property
4.1 You hereby undertake to indemnify Work Communications against any and all liability for any, and all copyright infringement or any breach of any other intellectual property right caused by you or your failure to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
5. Termination
5.1 Work Communications and 1001careers.com may terminate the provision of service, without any notice, if:- The member is in material breach of these Terms and Conditions in any way whatsoever. No rebate payment will be offered or made if this is the case
- The advertiser becomes insolvent, ceases to trade or goes into liquidation
6. Liabilities
6.1 The member accepts responsibility and liability without limitation for your own personal information, communications and their consequences, any losses which may result from using the website, or inability to use the website.
6.2 Work Communications accepts no liability for:- Any damage to your software or hardware incurred as a result of using the website, including but not limited to any viruses or cookies.
- Any death or personal injury caused by negligence.
- Any failures in your accessing the 1001careers.com website or any loss or damage which may result from the errors in the operating condition of the 1001careers.com website.
6.3 Work Communications are not responsible for your use of the website and any employment decisions you or any third party make. Any consequences resulting shall not be the responsibility of Work Communications.
6.4 Use of 1001careers.com website and the content matter are at your own risk.
6.5 Work Communications reserves the right to amend or delete any information on the website at our absolute discretion.
6.6 The 1001careers.com website contains links to other websites and third party suppliers. Work Communications takes no responsibility for the content, the reputability of the organisation concerned or liability for any transactions with third party whose website was visited via hyperlinks on 1001careers.com.
6.7 The 1001careers.com website is a Job Advertising website for members to post job adverts and Job Seekers to search for suitable vacancies. Work Communications and 1001careers.com have no involvement in correspondence between members and Job Seekers.
6.8 Work Communications and 1001careers.com accepts no responsibility for the quality, safety or legality of the jobs posted, the truth or accuracy of the listings, the ability of members to offer job opportunities to Job Seekers or the ability of Job Seekers to fill the jobs advertised.
7. Membership
7.1 A 12 month membership fee has been agreed based on the number of employees for each housing association.
7.2 The membership fee is non refundable unless approved by Work Communications.
7.3 The subscription entitles the member to submit all job details to Work Communications for upload to the 1001careers.com website using the ‘Job Upload Information’ form, during the agreed subscription period.
7.4 Any agreed costs to members by Work Communications for tailored campaigns are confidential and may not be disclosed by the member to a third party.
7.5 A single job posting is identified by its unique job number; this allows Work Communications to follow the success of each posting. A 1001.careers.com advisor will call after the closing date of your posting to ensure success and next steps. It is Work Communications’s intention to maximise all postings to a successful outcome.
7.6 If a member requests a repost of a job advert after deletion or deactivation, then this will be deemed to be a new job posting.
7.7 The 1001careers.com website and services may from time to time be inoperative in full or in part as a consequence of but not limited to maintenance, mechanical breakdown, software or hardware upgrades, telecommunications connectivity problems or other situations beyond the control of Work Communications and the member agrees that this is reasonable and that Work Communications will not be held liable for any failure or inability to provide continuous, uninterrupted, error free service under any circumstances including those mentioned above.
7.8 The profile page is the responsibility of the member to keep it up-to-date and accurate.
7.9 All applications are directed to the members individual website and leave the 1001careers.com portal. At this point Work Communications have no way of assessing the success rate of any applications and it becomes the members responsibility to provide reports. It is the members responsibility to ensure that the application details are working and correct on their website.
8. Service Level Procedure
8.1 If you are in any way dissatisfied with the service provided, you must inform Work Communications or 1001careers.com immediately, outlining the complaint, allowing Work Communications reasonable time to rectify the grievance. If there is a continuation of service to you; the client, without any grievance raised, then by action it will be considered a confirmation that you are satisfied with the service provided.
8.2 Management Information will be provided to the members quarterly by Work Communications and will consist of visitors to the site, time spent on the site, areas of most interest on the site and numbers who went through to apply. Work Communications are not able to provide accurate data on job applications as the job seeker leaves the 1001careers.com site and then becomes the responsibility of the individual members.
9. Data Protection
9.1 Work Communications and 1001careers.com are registered under the UK Data Protection Act 1998 and shall endeavour to ensure that they operate within the terms of the Act at all times.
10. Indemnity
10.1 The member agrees to indemnify Work Communications from and against claims, actions or demands resulting from use of the website or it’s contents or your breach of the terms of these Terms and Conditions, including but not limited to any content that is deemed to be defamatory, obscene, in any way discriminatory, in breach of copyright or any other third party intellectual property right.
11. Representation
11.1 Work Communications and 1001careers.com makes no representation to be and should not be considered to be a collaborator with the Job Seeker or member. No element of these terms should be deemed to be evidence of a partnership between said parties or to constitute either of us the agent of the other.
11.2 Failure to adhere or comply with any single element of these Terms and Conditions or of any rights hereunder by either party shall not release the other from the requirement to fully perform the remaining terms.
12. Governance
12.1 These Terms and Conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with English law and the English courts shall decide all disputes.
