Dane staff get a taste for learning something new.

03/07/08

Lunchtime 'taster sessions' gave Dane Housing employees the opportunity to try activities such as tai chi, salsa dancing, and laser clay shooting recently. The classes were organised as part of National Learning at Work Week - and they proved to be a big hit with staff.

Some took part in sessions about fair trade food, while others chose to learn about holistic therapies and massage. All the activities were designed to inspire people to learn new skills, try new things, and uncover new talents.

The Chief Executive of Dane Housing, Anne Ward, was delighted with the sessions. "Whether it is for personal, career or business benefits, we believe it is important to promote learning through the workplace and maximise the potential of staff," she said. "The National Learning at Work programme provides a fantastic opportunity to do just that."
