Peace of mind for older and vulnerable people.
28/05/08
A Cheshire-based housing association is pioneering technology that'll help their residents to live as independently as possible for as long as possible. Dane Housing Group's Telecare Service consists of a range of sensors installed in the home. It's designed to reduce accidents, falls and visits to the hospital. This additional personal freedom lessens the need for residential or nursing care and relieves the pressure on family carers. It's perfect for people with long-term health conditions and those recently discharged from hospital or receiving intermediary care.
As well as being Cheshire County Council's preferred partner, Dane is also launching its own Telecare service, to reach out, not only to existing customers, but also to the wider community. Dane's service gives older and vulnerable people a real choice, in the type of sensors and technological devices they require to help to remain in their own homes for longer.
A Telecare exhibition flat has been set up at Elworth Court, Herbert Street, Congleton and is an opportunity for to view the various types of sensors regularly installed by Dane in customers' homes. A visit to the flat can be arranged by prior appointment by phoning Liz Slater on 01260 288271
