Cheshire residents take a bow.
24/05/08
Dane residents, who have been actively involved in working with the company to improve services and their neighbourhoods, were acknowledged for their hard work and commitment to making a difference, at a special event. Seventy residents from across the Borough enjoyed Dim Sum at The Forum Restaurant prior to attending a performance of Kiss Me Kate at the Daneside theatre.
Those who attended came from a wide range of residents, all of whom have given up their time to be involved, for example, in the Tenants Federation, focus groups and residents associations, to name but a few.
Guest, John Kane from Alsager who is involved in many of Dane's resident focus groups, said,
"It as a privilege to be present for a very enjoyable evening, being reminded of those songs we all knew. They were brought to life in a very spirited performance that was enjoyed by all."
Dane Housing actively engages with its residents and encourages them to participate in a number of ways, depending on the amount of time they can spare and the level of involvement they are able to give.
Dane's Neighbourhood Involvement Co-ordinator, Emma Sneyd said:
"We really appreciate the time and commitment residents give in helping us to shape future services. Our rewards evenings are a way of saying a big thank you to everyone who has been involved over the year. We are always looking for new ways to get people involved and reaching residents so that we get to hear what everyone thinks and wants for their neighbourhoods."
