Pioneering new ways to keep people safe from fire.

12/05/08

Friendship Care and Housing has struck up a first-of-its-kind partnership with Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service. They've come together to offer high quality advice and fire safety guidance to 16,000 households and 1,000 people working across The Midlands.

To Friendship Care and Housing, the health & safety of their residents and staff are paramount. This unique partnership represents a big step towards dealing with some of the most serious issues facing people in their care. It also means that they're able to act much quicker to new health & safety legislation.

Station Manager, Byran Docherty who coordinated the partnership for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, said:

"Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service is delighted to be working alongside Friendship Care and Housing. This partnership gives us exciting opportunities to engage with people right at the heart of our local communities, enabling us to make them safer places to live."
