Affordable homes for Derby.
07/05/08
Friendship Care and Housing has been awarded £7.5 million in government funding from the National Affordable Housing Programme for 2008-11. The money is being put towards the construction of 290 new homes and affordable homes in Derby. Due to be built over the next 3 years, they'll give many families a much-needed leg-up onto the property ladder.
Jonathan Driffill, Managing Director at Friendship Care and Housing, commented:
"It is a fact that there is a chronic shortage of affordable housing in our region. The size of this award will go some way to helping reduce this shortage. This is a superb result!"
The new homes will be delivered to a high design standard and with a low carbon footprint and deliver a quality environment for everyone.
