Ron's got the X Factor.
31/01/08Five venues, five different shows, but only one winner from each had that Xtra Factor!
These special talent shows, organised by ExtraCare Charitable Trust, even had a panel of look-a-likey judges. Geoff Monk played Louis Walsh, Andrew Monk stepped convincingly into Simon Cowell's tight trousers and Caroline Bernstein did a turn as Sharon Osbourne.
HomeZone's Beacon Park Village in Lichfield stages one of the shows. And residents of the retirement village were more than happy to join in the fun. None more so than Ron Hall, who walked off with winner's trophy.
Even old tight trousers himself Simon Cowell couldn't fail to be impressed:
Cowell said:
"I've been totally blown away by all the talent that has been presented over the five shows. I came with no idea of what to expect and it has been a revelation of the talent these people have to offer."
