There’s no stopping Louise Lee.

11/12/06

Louise progressed from Administration Clerk to Supported Housing Manager in less than 10 years. She sees herself moving forward even further within the next decade.

“I am setting my sights on the Chief Executive’s job!” she jokes, although there’s a determination about Louise that has to be taken seriously.

After working for several years in administration and in-house training in various departments, she successfully applied for a job as a Housing Officer with Spa Housing Association. She is extensively involved in their sheltered housing schemes in and around Droitwich.

In 2001 she was promoted to Supported Housing Manager where she supervises the sheltered housing service and the Team Warden staff. This includes liaising with partner organisations and ensuring that tenants receive a first class service.

"My experiences with Festival have been superb - the group is very keen to promote from within and very empowering. I have a challenging workload, but thoroughly enjoy my job," she enthuses.

The Group has sponsored Louise to complete a HNC in Housing Studies and Diploma in Management Studies at Worcester University. She has also received support throughout her maternity leave and found it easy to return to work part-time.

"I'm grateful for the opportunities I have been given to progress my career. Festival is a great place to work, everyone is friendly and helpful and it's the people that make the difference! I really enjoy working for the Group."
