Fuel points mean prizes for homeless kids.
24/01/08
New Charter uses more than £4,000 of diesel each week. With recent contract wins by our specialist Building Company this figure is set to rise. So, Fleet Manager, Helen Anderson spotted the opportunity of turning points into prizes with the help of Morrisons in Dukinfield. As the nearest and cheapest filling station to our depot, most of the van drivers chose to fill up here - so we gave them all loyalty cards. Thanks to the diligence of the drivers, they've earned over £1,000 of Morrisons gift vouchers just by filling up.
Representatives of Morrisons were invited by our Building Company to the first handover to Gibson Terrace supported housing, with the supermarket kindly donating some extra vouchers. New Charter's Supported Housing Team will use over £500 to help children living in the Homeless Reception Centre have a brighter Christmas.
New Charter Building Company's Managing Director, Andy Stafford, said:
"I'm pleased to use our success to bring a festive bonus to some of the area's tenants. The local link with Morrisons is an excellent way to ensure that our profitability has benefits in our home trading zone."
