A very special guest turned up to the annual NHF conference in Manchester. Yes, you've guessed it, the 1001careers.com Dalmatian. Fortunately out of obedience training now, he's fully house-trained and was let off the lead for the first time, meeting and greeting housing professionals from right across the UK.

1001careers.com was there to publicise just how the website has moved the recruitment goalposts for the sector. An online careers centre created for the housing sector by the housing sector, we were proud to share our impressive results with like-minded colleagues. And equally enthusiastic to share our ideas on how we plan to use 'blogs' and new trends in online social networking to reach people who aren't actually searching for a new job. We were born as a modern up-to-date website and we aim to stay that way
